True remorse is never just a regret over the consequences of what you made wrong; it is a regret over the motives you had in the first place, even if you can't understand them.

Before searching for forgiveness, analyze the motives of your actions before the consequences. What made you act that way? How many exits you had before deciding to lock yourself inside? Then learn that the very first mistake you made was opting to act that way - or sometimes, not to act at all against something.

Learn to never make the same mistakes again, understand that the situation forced you to take the wrong decisions and that consequences - as bad as they can be - made you wiser in the end.

Then try to heal the harm you caused with the best of efforts.

You really forgive someone when you finally understand whatever reason motivated him to hurt you. But, understanding the reason is not justifying the damage, instead, it means having clear that self-limitations, blindness, ignorance and/or simple stress made that person act that way.

You must understand the fact that in that particular moment and situation, due to the very particular circumstances back then, there was no other choice for that person but to hurt you.

Certainly it was inevitable. Because if it weren't, that person wouldn't have caused any harm to you in the first place.

You wouldn't be human if you were unable to withdraw something you've stated as sacred-word before. To me, this was a weekend of contradictions, changed beliefs and clarified misconceptions.

It all comes down to the importance of friendships, social interaction and love in your life. I've said so many times in the past that i had no real friends but i really did, and i still do. Maybe i was not a loyal friend myself and so i felt [and feared that] i did not deserve loyalty in exchange, thus i thrusted no one and locked myself in this anti-social four-walled panorama, hurting my friends [and other people i care] along the way.

I let everyone [i care] believe that i had changed because of the golden piece of my puzzle, which was affecting everything around it. But that wasn't the truth. I changed myself, on my own, with no influence; and ended up screwing the puzzle on myself, on my very own, with no influence; lost the golden piece and other valuable happy pictures without realizing what i was doing.

Yeah, i'm down, but not out; and far from done. I've already started fightin' my chances and rebuilding the puzzle. The reason i got the golden piece in the very first place was because i was that kind of guy...
